Us with Godand Money
Forecast: steady pressure, with a chance of what-ifs by evening.
Four tired ways to walk
Each has some truth in it. None of them is the whole story.
Under GodSheep that hide from the Shepherd
The tithe is protection money. Give enough and nothing bad will happen.
Over GodSheep that know the way
Budget well, invest wisely, and there’s nothing to worry about. God gets a line item.
From GodSheep that follow the grass
God, a little more and I’ll finally feel secure.
For GodSheep trying to be the sheepdog
Every dollar has to be justified by what it does for the kingdom.
He is your portion, so you can hold everything else with open hands.
Jesus pointed to birds and wildflowers, not to a better plan (Matt 6:25–33). The cure for money worry isn’t more money or better rules. It’s a Father who knows what we need and has promised never to leave us (Heb 13:5). Budgets and generosity still matter. They just stop carrying the weight of our security.
Where the Shepherd isHe is already in tomorrow, where our money worries live. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Ps 23:1).
Pray over your accounts this week instead of avoiding them or obsessing over them.
What am I afraid will happen if I have less?
Fellow travelers
People in Scripture who walked this ground before us.
- The rich young man walked away sad, holding on to a great deal (Mark 10:17–22).
- Zacchaeus gave half of everything away after Jesus came to his house, not before (Luke 19:1–10).
