Us with Godand Decisions
Forecast: fog at the fork in the road, with a steady voice nearby.
Four tired ways to walk
Each has some truth in it. None of them is the whole story.
Under GodSheep that hide from the Shepherd
I’m terrified of missing God’s will and ruining everything.
Over GodSheep that know the way
I’ll run the pros and cons, and God can sign off.
From GodSheep that follow the grass
God, just open the door I already want.
For GodSheep trying to be the sheepdog
I’ll pick whatever has the most impact for the kingdom.
His presence is the plan, so you can go with him.
When Moses faced the wilderness, God promised, “My Presence will go with you” (Ex 33:14–15). Moses wanted that more than a map. God also promises to instruct us and counsel us with his loving eye on us (Ps 32:8). So we pray, think it through, ask wise friends, and then choose. He is with us down either road.
Where the Shepherd isHe goes on ahead of his sheep, and they follow him because they know his voice (John 10:4).
Bring one decision to God today and tell him, “Whatever I choose, I want you with me.”
Lord, will you go with me?
